Here are some of the details for the SequA comic book.
SequA COMIC:
1)Theme comic: Various artists get a designated amount of pages (4-5 depending on number of entries) in the comic book to tell a story fitting to a theme. For example, the theme could be about the "Little Red Riding Hood" story, and from that we would see a bunch of different takes of that story.
Here are the sections that will be broken down for the next few meeting weeks:
(There is plenty of room for modification)
Concept/Roughs
In this stage the theme of the book would be revealed and an active workshop could be conducted to help members get ideas down, and help structure ways to manage time needed to get the pages done. Also, members can begin developing rough layouts and pages in the meeting and be provided with active feedback.
Line Art/Lettering
At this stage of the production, roughs should be ready to turn into sparkly clean lineart. Also those fancy lettering techniques can be taught/applied to help finish off the pages.
Pre-Press
At this stage, everything should be done and be readied to scan in, or is just done and nothing more. From here the comic order will be determined, contact sheets filled out for the end. Yadda Yadda, and the pages will be sent to KABLAM or some other print service to get a finished issue. If we can't get printing done then the interweb is always an valid option.
Currently we are still looking for a theme. So if you have theme ideas, post them on this thread from there we will hold a vote next meeting to decide the theme for the first SequA comic. Please, if you have any questions, feel free to post them in the thread or email me at nisori[at]gmail[dot]com.
